This Los Angeles–based team is seeking a Senior Project Designer to help lead significant architectural projects, mentor design staff, and shape the creative direction of multiple initiatives. The Role As Senior Project Designer, you will guide the design vision across projects from concept through construction, lead client?facing presentations, and collaborate closely with project leadership. You’ll oversee design teams, ensure design integrity throughout all phases, and contribute to both project delivery and business development. This position is based in Los Angeles and offers a hybrid schedule , with three days in the studio and remote work available Mondays and Fridays. Key Responsibilities • Lead design efforts during Schematic Design and Design Development; maintain design intent across all phases. • Communicate design concepts clearly in written, verbal, and graphic formats; lead client presentations. • Coordinate schedules, tasks, and budgets in collaboration with project leadership. • Support marketing interviews, proposals, and client?development activities. • Lead environmental analyses, 3D modeling oversight, materials research, and presentation quality. • Ensure robust documentation, technical detailing, and coordination through construction phases. Requirements • Accredited architectural degree. • 10+ years of architectural design experience , including work on major design projects. • Demonstrated leadership in guiding design teams and complex workflows. • Strong understanding of building systems, codes, materials, and construction methods. • Proven client?facing communication and relationship?building skills. • Experience mentoring junior designers. • Experience supporting proposals and client interviews. • Experience delivering education projects (K–12 or higher?ed) preferred.
