Role summary
Join a nationally recognized design practice known for creating immersive, high-end hospitality and dining environments. As an Interior Designer, you’ll play a key role from concept through completion—shaping memorable spaces, collaborating with top-tier design talent, and presenting visionary ideas directly to clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, design?centric projects while growing as a creative leader within a collaborative studio culture. Responsibilities • Work closely with a multidisciplinary design team to deliver projects on schedule, within FF&A budgets, and to the highest design standards. • Represent the interiors team in client meetings, articulate design concepts, and translate feedback into clear direction for the project team. • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout all phases of a project. • Partner with project leads on programming and FF&A budget development. • Make informed design and documentation decisions using sound judgement and a strong understanding of constructability. • Develop and document millwork details, finishes, materials, furnishings, and specifications that support the overall design vision. • Coordinate closely with purchasing partners to ensure complete and accurate FF&A budgets and schedules. • Support proposal development and participate in marketing efforts as needed. • Guide and mentor junior team members and uphold the firm’s design and documentation standards. Skills and Experience • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Interior Design or related design program. • Registered Interior Designer (RID or equivalent). • 5–8 years of experience with a focus on luxury hospitality and/or food & beverage environments. • Strong design sensibility with the ability to contribute creatively in a collaborative studio setting. • Proven ability to produce high-quality, fully coordinated drawing sets for complex projects. • Solid understanding of building systems, construction processes, and building codes. • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills. • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and consultants to achieve design, schedule, and budget goals. • Strong presentation skills—confident representing design concepts to clients and stakeholders. • Experience in cruise ship or maritime hospitality design is a plus. Supervisory Responsibilities • Oversee and mentor Designers I and II, including training, assigning work, providing feedback, and supporting performance development. • Report to senior studio leadership while helping maintain project quality, team morale, and design excellence.
