Role summary
Advance your career with an internationally recognized, design-driven studio specializing in hospitality, food & beverage, residential, and experiential interior environments. This opportunity is ideal for an interior designer with 5+ years of experience who enjoys developing creative concepts, producing detailed documentation, and helping deliver projects from early design through construction. You'll collaborate with senior designers, principals, consultants, contractors, and clients while contributing to projects for leading hotels, resorts, restaurants, developers, and residential clients. Key Responsibilities • Develop innovative, thoughtful, and functional design concepts that exceed client expectations. • Design and execute projects from concept development through construction and closeout. • Lead smaller projects and support larger projects under senior leadership. • Produce renderings, presentation materials, and client presentations. • Develop space plans, material palettes, finish selections, and design details. • Prepare clear, accurate, and coordinated construction documentation. • Apply knowledge of construction techniques, detailing, materials, and interior building systems. • Review project documents to minimize errors and improve documentation quality. • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. • Build and maintain strong client relationships. • Participate in design critiques and contribute to the studio's creative culture. • Mentor junior designers and support project team success. • Manage project schedules, deadlines, and personal workload. • Maintain accurate project time and billing records. Qualifications • Interior Design degree or diploma (or equivalent) required. • Minimum 5 years of professional interior design experience. • Hospitality and Food & Beverage project experience preferred. • Multi-family or residential interiors experience is a plus. • Experience taking projects from Design Development through Construction Administration. • Strong space planning, design, presentation, and communication skills. • Excellent construction documentation experience. • Understanding of construction methods, detailing, materials, and finishes. • Knowledge of IBC and ADA building codes. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is beneficial. • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. • Portfolio demonstrating hospitality or similarly design-focused projects required.
