The instructor is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend.<br><br><strong><strong>Core Competencies and Qualifications</strong></strong><br><br><strong>BLDA 110 - Visual Communications</strong><ul><li>Earned Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally-accredited institution in Architecture, Construction Management or related field required. </li><li>State of Michigan Builders License preferred. </li><li>Minimum 5 years verifiable full-time work experience in a related field required. </li><li>Additional certification or licensure may be required as appropriate to technology taught in the course. </li></ul><strong><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to</strong></strong><ul><li>Instructs students In Interior Design.</li><li>Assists students with assignments, as needed.</li><li>Maintains excellent record keeping procedures.</li><li>Counsels students as needed.</li><li>Attends all instructional staff meetings.</li><li>Reports directly to Assistant Lead Instructor &/or Lead Instructor.</li><li>Observes and evaluates students' work to determine progress, provide feedback, and make suggestions for improvement. Determines training needs of students or workers. </li><li>Administers oral, written, or performance tests to measure progress and to evaluate training effectiveness.</li><li>Prepares reports and maintains records such as student grades, attendance rolls, and training activity details</li><li>Conducts on-the-job training classes or training sessions to teach and demonstrates principles, techniques, procedures, or methods of designated subjects.</li><li>Develops curricula and plan course content and methods of instruction.</li><li>All other duties as directed by your immediate supervisor & senior management.</li></ul>
