This role could be based in the following cities: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Los Angeles, CA </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Sacramento, CA</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Riverside, CA</li> </ul> Position Summary Architects at DLR Group are responsible for managing all aspects of project document development for complex Healthcare projects both large and small. They are also responsible for coordination with project team members to maintain work product quality within the established project schedule. As part of our integrated design teams you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design. You will partner directly with the Project Manager to ensure the financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, claim prevention, team collaboration and communication. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions. Sector Summary Our team of educators, researchers, anthropologists, planners, architects, engineers, building performance experts, and interior designers draw from evidence-based design to aid schools in bridging the gap from old and new to improve all facets of operations, and elevate learning through design. Understanding the rapid pace of technological, social, and cultural change, our <a href="https://www.dlrgroup.com/sector/k-12-education/">K-12 Education</a> Studio works with schools across the country to navigate this change to better serve communities and improve educational experiences and outcomes for students. What you will do: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Apply practice standards and maintain comprehensive design and technical skillsets across project deliverables</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ensure BIM standards are applied, QA/QC procedures are followed, and clash detection issues are resolved</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Plan, design, and coordinate projects of varying sizes, while applying advanced architectural concepts and innovative techniques</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Coordinate drawings and specifications with the specification writer and assist in preparing sections as assigned</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Review cost estimates for design alignment and manage time in alignment with the project workplan</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Communicate effectively with the project team through written, oral, and visual means, and lead collaboration to generate design solutions</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Engage peers and specialty experts for holistic solutions and participate in client presentations</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Meet deliverable deadlines, understand construction and material costs, and ensure alignment with the project budget</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Have a comprehensive understanding of, and the ability to coordinate and lead, the design disciplines in developing technical solutions</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Work with contractor during design and construction phase through various project delivery methods including design-build, design-assist, and design-bid-build</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Have knowledge of all aspects of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Manage and guide assignments of the production team during design and documentation phase</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Provide QA/QC to the project team and strive for design and technical excellence in design deliverables</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Possess a high level of technical proficiency and attention to detail in the production of drawings</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Work directly with Project Managers and Designers in the conceptual development of project documents</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Grow as a leader of the in-house team, coordinating with engineers, interior designers, the PM and consultants</li> </ul> Required Qualifications: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s or Master's degree in architecture or related field</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">7-11 years of professional architecture experience</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Professional experience working on public projects, preferably in Education / K-12 DSA projects</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proficient in REVIT and CAD computer modeling and rendering software</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Licensure, preferred</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Eligibility to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description">Our comprehensive Benefits at DLR Group include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off.
