Why this role is interesting

Join a prestigious design-driven architecture and interiors practice based in New Orleans with an international reputation. Work on innovative projects both locally and nationally, with a strong commitment to design excellence and meaningful civic and community work. We offer a clear pathway to partnership and pride ourselves on fostering a friendly, family-first work environment. We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join the team and help lead the delivery of complex, design-driven work. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who can balance design excellence with technical rigor, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and move confidently from early design through documentation and construction. The initial focus will be a major civic project currently transitioning into Construction Documents, alongside additional community-oriented projects in earlier phases. You'll collaborate closely with leadership and project leads, contribute to the ongoing evolution of studio standards and processes, and have a clear pathway to grow into broader leadership responsibilities over time. Responsibilities • Lead project delivery across all phases—schematic design through construction administration—ensuring continuity of design intent and technical quality. • Serve as a key technical and coordination lead on major, complex work (initially focused on a large civic project) while supporting additional projects as needed. • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to drive decisions, manage deliverables, and meet deadlines. • Produce and review detailed drawing sets and specifications, contributing to a high standard of design and documentation. • Support construction administration, including responding to RFIs/submittals and collaborating with the team to resolve field conditions. • Help mentor and guide junior staff by sharing best practices, providing clear direction, and fostering a collaborative team culture. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field. • Significant professional experience as a Project Architect, with the ability to lead work through all project phases (including Construction Administration). • Strong technical documentation and coordination skills, with proficiency in Revit and related design/production tools. • Confident communicator who can collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams, and support/guide junior staff as needed. • Well-rounded, team-first mindset with strong organization and follow-through in a fast-moving, multi-project studio environment. Benefits • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses. • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement. • Flexible working arrangements. • Supportive and collaborative work environment.
